Offset Lock with 440 GHz Range usingElectro-Optic Modulation

Offset locking is a popular method for stabilizing laser frequency, which crucial to many physics experiments. Wide range offset locks are desirable, as they increase the span of usable frequencies in an experiment. Here, we experimentally realize wide-range lock using beat-note setup combined with electro-optic phase modulation. By frequency down-conversion beat note and sidebands generated by modulation, achieve $\pm$ 220.1 GHz fluctuations under 0.1 Hz, enabling optical heterodyne largest known any such lock. The relative simplicity our provides compelling at offsets hundreds range.
